Norma's Poetry
Sometimes people feel there is no one whom they can turn to, whether feeling happy or sad. They feel neglected, denied, or even empty. To summarize, they feel lonely.

They can be surrounded by people yet feel alone.
They can be giving a speech to a crowd of people yet have no one to embrace them when they take their seats.
They can give hugs to many people throughout the day, yet they go home to an empty house.
They cook meal after meal but few people come over for dinner.

They are loved yet feel forgotten because life has become so busy. They feel we don't love them because we rarely pick up the phone to call.

One birthday passes after another, without a greeting card from family and friends, while a solitary tear strolls down their cheeks.

Then, suddenly, the phone rings and they hear a voice from one who is dear to their hearts. However, disappointment soon sets in when they realize the caller had a reason to call - to ask for money, or for something else s/he needed, and could think of no one else to call at the moment. A tear rolls down each cheek as they hang up the phone. Loneliness sets in even more than before.

For you I wrote this poem and I hope it helps you realize, even on your most pain-filled days, that you are not alone.

Sunny Skies

He walks with you on cloudy days.
He blesses you with the sun's rays.

He's with you when you're at the lake-
every moment you're awake.

He gives you company as you walk
and, to your spirit, He does talk.

He sends a soft gentle breeze
so you can smell flowers and trees.

He gives the moon to light your way
as you walk at dusk each day.

He sends a friend to make you smile
to give you company for a while.

He washes your face with tears
so you will give to Him your cares.

He's ever watching over you
Always has, your whole life through!

So whenever you feel down or low,
remember Someone loves you so!
