Norma's Poetry
Mike e-mailed me recently with a verse to a poem and asked me to add a verse, so I did. We sent the poem-in-progress to each other a couple of times, each adding another verse, until the poem was completed.

Below you will find the result of our efforts and we hope you enjoy it - that it puts a spring into your step and helps your soul find a measure of peace and comfort.

Whispers Within

A pair of birds a-flirting,
a squirrel leaping high -
a doe and fawn
out on a lawn...
all bring my heart such joy!

The rustling of the treetops,
whispering of the wind -
a moonlit night
stars shining bright...
My heart begins to mend!

Autumn leaves a-blowing,
flower petals on the breeze -
a barefoot walk,
while kittens stalk
all bring me to my knees.

The winter cold sets in fast.
The chill seeps through my bones -
needing a fire
where flames leap higher
I'm glad I'm not alone.

Alone is what I'll never be.
The Lord is always near -
His loving Word
my heart has heard.
It drives away my fear!
