The Heart's Voice
How does the heart’s emotions work?
Why do they always change?
Yesterday, I was crying.
Today, I’m laughing. It’s so strange!
What about love which grows inside?
It takes on many different forms.
Sometimes it feels refreshing
At others, like tropical storms.
It blows in fast but doesn’t leave.
It develops day by day.
Pretty soon, it’s hard to think.
Memories just won’t go away.
If this love dwells inside you
Listen to your heart’s voice.
Then when you are old and grey
Your heart will still rejoice.
