Love abides! Jesus abides! Jesus is love!
I read 1 Corinthians 13 and paraphrased the entire chapter. Still not having enough of this particular Love chapter, I wrote a poem as well.
It's my newest poem and I would be most happy if you would share your thoughts with me.
As I walk through life
Love is by my side.
It doesn’t matter how I feel
In love, I can abide.
Though some days I suffer
The days seem, oh, so long!
I can’t wait to rest my head-
Yet, love softly sings its song.
Some days I feel happy.
Love makes me be kind.
Often, it goes unnoticed
And, with love, that’s just fine.
Some moments I feel angry.
It seems love has stepped away.
I was wrong. I didn’t listen-
When love told me to pray.
Sometimes my thoughts are bad
I am ashamed to say.
Once again I took control-
Pushed love out of my way.
Sometimes I travel roads
I know I shouldn’t take.
Love whispers in my ear,
“You’re making a mistake.”
Every day, no matter what,
Love puts up with me.
It has faith and so much hope
That it can set me free!
Love has so much confidence.
It knows it’s sure to win.
Love is, truly, perfect.
In love, there is no sin.
