Heaven's Bill
Lord, You have a job to do
which no one can fulfil.
Your job is magnificent.
It is called, Heaven’s Bill.
Your bill isn’t human law,
won’t pass through parliament.
It’s stamped as rejected.
For souls, You must lament.
You want everyone to love You
but they must do so on their own.
You can’t force them tho’
You may hate the seeds they’ve sown.
You are God but it’s not easy
to look thru’ time and see,
How disaster follows us;
we mess up so royally.
Lord, it must be difficult
not to let the thunders roar,
When people say that serving you
is nothing but a bore.
Lord, how can You stand it
when people rant and rave,
Not caring that You sent Your Son
so they may be saved?
Lord, how trying it must be
on Your forgiving heart,
When people ignore You;
refuse to play their part.
Lord, You’ve granted all of us
a season here on earth.
Only what is done for You
will have lasting worth.
Heaven’s Bill simply states,
Jesus came to seek the lost;
Was willing to lay down His life
on Calvary’s painful cross.
To those who believe His name,
the same shall be written down
And when He stands before the Lord,
no transgression will be found.
He will have eternal life.
He will explore, dance, and sing.
He will thank His Saviour
who thought of everything.
Heaven’s Bill is best by far.
Won’t you consider it today?
All that is required of you
is to trust God and obey.
